Kirthana Erskine Registered Psychotherapist
Kirthana is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She completed her Bachelor of Arts Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University (previously known as Ryerson University) in 2018. She completed her Master of Arts Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2022. She has been a part of the Danielle Counselling team since spring of 2024.
Kirthana invites her clients into the counselling journey with warmth and humility. She both intentionally and naturally creates a safe space for her clients to be themselves, by actively listening to their experiences in a non-judgmental, empathetic, and compassionate way. She is client-centered and uses theories and interventions from various approaches to best suit her clients’ needs and goals. She seeks to support, value, and respect her clients on their journey of healing and growth.
In her personal life, Kirthana loves to surround herself with her family and friends. She enjoys reading fictional books, listening to audiobooks, and watching movies and shows in her leisure time. She seeks to be more adventurous in trying different recipes and cuisines and expanding her interests in art. She is actively involved in her church and supports her community by volunteering in ministries. She takes joy in her own journey of understanding her purpose and meaning within faith-centered communities. .

Danielle Jeffery MA, RP
Danielle, has been married for over 10 years and is mother to three beautiful children. She is an active participant and volunteer at her local church, within the community and in her children’s school. With a desire to make a difference for the marginalized of our society, Danielle is routinely involved in charitable efforts, including partnering with various organizations to provide treatment for those without means. When not working, she enjoys hiking with her family and Boston Terrier “Poppy”, delving into a book with a good cup of coffee, cooking for and hosting friends in her home, or planning the next family travel adventure.
Danielle is a Registered Psychotherapist and a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as well as with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She completed her Honors Bachelor of Science Psychology Specialist Degree with Distinction from the University of Toronto in 2008. She completed her Master of Arts Counselling Psychology Degree from Yorkville University in 2015, with an internship specialization in trauma and rehabilitation psychotherapy. Danielle has a certificate in Crisis Counselling and has assisted with a variety of research ventures at the University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Danielle currently runs a private practice, where she provides counselling to adults and couples facing a variety of concerns including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, anxiety and depressive disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Somatic Symptom Disorder and chronic pain concerns, relationship difficulties, amongst others. Danielle has been assisting in psychological assessments and screening for individuals since 2006. She has been conducting psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy to clients since 2015. Abi Saiyanthan MDiv (student)
Abi completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Neuroscience and Biochemistry with a minor in Psychology and a Master of Biotechnology at the University of Toronto. She then spent ten years in the pharmaceutical advertising space as a Content Strategist. After creating successful messaging campaigns and winning multiple pitches, she decided to return to her primary interest of human psychology. She is currently completing her Master of Divinity majoring in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale University, working towards her registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). For her internship, she has joined the team at Danielle Counselling.
With her background in marketing communication, Abi values the importance of listening. She truly believes each person’s path is unique and with someone coming alongside them, in a nonjudgemental, empathetic manner, they are free to explore and find solutions that fit their lives. She considers it a privilege to invite clients into a safe space and listen to their life stories. She is genuinely interested in the growth of her clients of any age and facilitating improvements in their relationships.
Abi has been married for over ten years and cultivated new skills in the past few years while supporting her husband establish his small business. She formerly taught piano and is eager to integrate art as part of her therapeutic approach, especially in her work with children. Based on her previous roles, Abi is interested in working with children and adolescents as they grow and find their unique identity in the world. She and her husband are currently helping a new church plant, consisting primarily of new immigrants. To wind down, Abi enjoys listening to audiobooks while knitting or crocheting.

Petra van Weerden Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Petra is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Petra completed her Master in Developmental Psychology at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, in 2003. She graduated with a Master in Christian Counselling (specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy) at Canada Christian College in 2022. She is a member with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT).
Petra has a passion to support individuals, families, and couples in their journey towards healing and restoration. She creates a compassionate, non-judgemental, and safe environment for her clients to explore their struggles. She works with a client-centred approach using diverse counselling intervention strategies. She is experienced in supporting individuals struggling with spiritual abuse in the church context.
Petra is happily married to Leon and together they have four beautiful children. She speaks fluent Dutch, enjoys reading, loves to go on dates with her husband, and gets inspired by everything interior design. She is a keynote speaker on the topic of faith and mental health.
